Anunciados los finalistas del IGF 2014

La organización del Independent Games Festival 2014 ha anunciado los finalistas de los premios de este año.

El más importante de ellos, el Seumas McNally Grand Prize, se lo disputarán The Stanley Parable (Galactic Cafe), Papers, Please (Lucas Pope), Don't Starve (Klei), Device 6 (Simogo), Jazzpunk (Necrophone) y Dominique Pamplemousse in "It's All Over Once the Fat Lady Sings!" (Deirdra Kiai Productions).

Entre las menciones honorables para el gran premio están el popular Kerbal Space Program (Squad), Crypt of the NecroDancer (Brace Yourself Games), TowerFall Ascension (Matt Thorson), 868-HACK (Michael Brough) y The Yawhg (Damian Sommer and Emily Carroll).

En total hay seis categorías, y Device 6 está en todas ellas (nominado en cuatro y con menciones honorables en las otras dos).

Los finalistas han pasado un proceso de selección en el que participaron 650 juegos, evaluados por 375 personas. El Seumas McNally Grand Prize otorga 30.000 dólares al ganador, que se anunciará en San Francisco el próximo 19 de marzo, durante la Game Developers Conference.
